The Ministry of Law and Justice has notified the appointment of 14 Judicial Officers to be the Judges/Additional Judges across four High Courts.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended these names in a meeting held on September 10, 2026.

The Law Minister, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, announced this development today i.e., September 19, on X. His tweet read, "In exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, after consultation with Chief Justice of India, the President is pleased to appoint the following Judicial Officers as Judges/Additional Judges in the High Courts: -"

The notified names are as follows:

Out of the eight names recommended by the collegium, seven have been notified for appointment.

Delhi High Court

Judicial Officers as Judges:

1. Nivedita Anil Sharma 

2. Nisha Sahay Saxena

Judicial Officers as Additional Judges:

1. Sanjay Sharma-I

2. Bharat Parashar

3. Dr. (Smt.) Aditi Choudhary

4. Dinesh Bhatt

5. Shri Arun Bhardwaj

Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court

1. Judicial Officer Yash Paul Bourney appointed as a Judge.

Jharkhand High Court

Judicial Officers as Judges:

Karnataka High Court

Judicial Officers as Additional Judges:
