Centre Appoints 4 Lawyers As Judges To Patna, Allahabad And Uttarkhand High Courts
While three Advocates have been appointed as Judges, one has been appointed as an Additional Judge.
The Central Government has notified the appointment of four Advocates as Judges and Additional Judges of three High Courts.
Patna High Court
The Centre has notified the appointment of Advocate Ritesh Kumar and Advocate Praveen Kumar as Judges.
The name of Advocate Ritesh Kumar was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium on February 20, 2025, while the name of Advocate Praveen Kumar was recommended on July 1, 2025.
Allahabad High Court
The Centre has notified the appointment of Advocate Jai Krishna Upadhyay as a Judge.
His name was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium on September 1, 2025.
Uttarakhand High Court
The Centre has notified the appointment of Advocate Siddartha Shah as an Additional Judge.
His name was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium in October, 2023.
