Adv. Balasaheb Apte College of Law, under the aegis of People’s Education Society and through its Student Development Committee, has announced the third edition of its Certificate Course on Media & Entertainment Law, commencing from 11 January 2026.

The course will be conducted online every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a total duration of 30 hours.

After two successful editions, the course returns with an extensively updated syllabus designed to address the rapidly evolving legal, technological, and regulatory landscape of the media and entertainment industry in India. The programme offers a comprehensive understanding of traditional media laws alongside emerging areas such as digital platforms, artificial intelligence, gaming, and data protection.

The course curriculum covers a wide range of subjects including constitutional and jurisprudential foundations of media law, press laws, broadcasting regulations, film laws, social media and intermediary liability, gaming and e-sports laws, intellectual property in entertainment, and other allied laws impacting the industry. Special focus is placed on AI governance, deepfakes, misinformation, online safety, and ethical challenges in digital media.

The programme is open to students of law, media and mass communication, journalists, legal and media professionals, academicians, and others interested in gaining domain-specific legal knowledge. Participants can expect practical insights into the regulatory, commercial, and technological aspects of the entertainment industry, guided by experienced academicians and industry experts.

The registration fee for the course is ₹5,000 for ABACL students, ₹7,000 for other students, and ₹8,000 for professionals and others.
