In this series titled “Women In The Bar”, we speak with women lawyers in various courts across the country and highlight thr experiences and challenges they have faced in their journey.

Our guest in this interview, Advocate Archana Pathak Dave, started their litigation journey in 2003 after finishing her LLB from Rajasthan University, Jaipur and her LLM from JNV University, Jodhpur. Advocate Dave is an Advocate On Record at the Supreme Court of India and specialises in Constitutional and Criminal law.

She talks about her experiences in the courtroom and outside, gives her views on women being asked how to dress up, what kind of make up to wear and other things. She also shares her experience on how women lawyers are tested and made to prove their worth as a lawyer to a new client for simply being a woman.
