Madhya Pradesh High Court Judge Recuses From Hearing Petition Citing Attempts Made By BJP MLA To Discuss Matter
Justice Vishal Mishra recused from the case stating that an attempt was made by BJP MLA Sanjay Pathak to call him in order to have a discussion.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has ordered that the petition relating to a case of illegal mining be placed before the Chief Justice for listing the matter before the appropriate Bench. Justice Vishal Mishra recused from the case stating that an attempt was made by BJP MLA Sanjay Pathak to call him in order to have a discussion.
Senior Advocate S.R. Tamrakar represented the Petitioner, while Advocate Ankit Chopra represented the Respondent.
“Mr. Sanjay Pathak has made an attempt to call me to have discussion regarding this particular matter, therefore, I am not inclined to entertain this writ petition”, the order read.
The Court noted in its order, "Application (IA No.16218/2025) for intervention is perused by the Court. Power of attorney executed by the interveners shows the same to be executed by Mrs. Nirmala Pathak W/o. Late Shri Satyendra Pathak and Mr. Yash Pathak S/o. Shri Sanjay Satyendra Pathak, R/o. Katni, Madhya Pradesh."
The Bench thus directed, “Let the matter be placed before the Hon'ble Chief Justice for listing the matter before the appropriate Bench for consideration.”
