Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, has been granted bail by the Bombay High Court, over 20 days after his arrest in the Cruise Ship Drug Case.

A Single Bench of Justice N W Sambre has also granted bail to the co-accused Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.

"All three pleas are allowed. I will pass detailed orders by tomorrow evening," Justice Sambre said.

However, the request of the Advocates of Aryan Khan for permission to submit cash bail was refused by the Court, which insisted that surety is to be given.

"I could have given the order also tomorrow. But I gave it today," Justice Sambre said.

All the three accused were booked under Sections 8(c) read with 20(b) (purchase of contraband) 27 (consumption of contraband), 28 (attempt to commit offence), 29 (abetment/conspiracy), and 35(presumption of culpable mental state) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Earlier, a Special Judge of Mumbai's Special NDPS Court has dismissed the bail application of Aryan Khan and the two others.
