Karnataka High Court
The Chief Court of Mysore was established in 1884. The said Court was redesignated as the High Court of Mysore in January, 1929. The High Court of Mysore extended its jurisdiction to the entire State of Mysore, which was renamed as State of Karnataka with effect from November 1, 1973. The High Court which has its Principal Bench in Bengaluru, also has Benches at Dharwad and Kalaburagi.
The sanctioned strength of Judges of the Karnataka High Court is 47 permanent and 15 additional judges.
