The Ministry of Law and Justice has notified the transfer of two Judges from different High Courts.

Justice Annireddy Abhishek Reddy, Judge of the Telangana High Court, has been transferred as a Judge of Patna High Court. Justice V. M. Velumani, Judge of the Madras High Court, has been transferred as a Judge of Calcutta High Court.

The notification released yesterday read thus-

“In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to transfer Shri Justice Annireddy Abhishek Reddy, Judge, Telangana High Court, as a Judge of Patna High Court and to direct him to assume charge of his office in the Patna High Court”

“In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to transfer Ms. Justice V. M. Velumani, Judge of the Madras High Court, as a Judge of Calcutta High Court and to direct her to assume charge of her office in the Calcutta High Court.”
