About the Conference: The national conference of environmental law faculties is a comparatively new and creative initiative with an aim to create a national level network of environmental law faculties so that fruitful interventions can be made with respect to the policies and laws relating to the environment. It is the need of the hour to have healthy outcome-based debates on key environmental issues and policies. The conference is committed towards having lively discussions on feasibility and appropriateness on different mitigation pathways as well as highly debatable topics such as carbon neutrality, net-zero emissions. The conference will be held virtually on 21st December 2021.
About the Seminar: The evolving environmental jurisprudence has brought in a new area of crimes namely environmental crimes. Of late, there had been elaborate discussions and deliberations about the nature and ambit of emerging environmental crimes. It is necessary to spread awareness about environmental crimes and the present and future trends of environmental crimes. With this objective in view, the Justice M. L. Pendse Chair in Environmental Laws in association with the Centre for Research in Criminal Justice organises a one-day National Seminar on Environmental Crimes- Current and Emerging Issues. The seminar will be held on 22nd December 2021.
Eligibility: Academicians, legal practitioners, research scholars, law students, Environmentalists, Activists and others may participate in the Seminar.
