The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is inviting applications for the post of Legal Fellow at Prayas, a field action project of the Centre for Criminology and Justice, School of Social Work, TISS, Mumbai, on a contract basis.

Location: Kolhapur and Thane

No. of Posts: One each (male and female respectively)

Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/- per month

Educational Qualification: LL.B.

Eligibility:

• Sanad for practicing in Maharashtra.

• Field experience in legal aid and criminal justice is desirable.

• Ability to read, write and speak in Marathi, English, and Hindi. Familiarity with the use of MS-Office, Excel, emails and the internet.

• Preference may be given to lawyers with 2-3 years of legal practice.

• Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently.

• During contract period, Fellow shall not take up any other employment without the prior permission of the employer.

Age Limit: 35 years
