Educational Qualification: LLB

Experience:

Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel: Practice in Criminal law for at least 7 years. Must have handled at least 20 criminal trials in Sessions Courts (may be relaxed in exceptional circumstances by the Hon'ble executive Chairman, SLSA).

Assistant Legal Aid Defence Counsel: Practice in criminal law from 0 to 3 years. Practice in criminal law for 0 to 3 years.

Required Skills:

Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel: Excellent understanding of criminal law, oral and written communication skills, and skill in legal research.

Assistant Legal Aid Defence Counsel: Good oral and written communication skills.
