Advocate Siddharth Batra is an Advocate on Record and is practising before the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court and various other Courts and Tribunals all over India. Siddharth has over seventeen years of experience in handling litigation and work assignments for various clients in Real Estate, Land Acquisition and Dispute Resolution.

He deals with corporates including education, automobiles, manufacturing and logistics. He also caters to several French companies and provides them with legal support and advice.

Siddharth's legal career began in 2005 when he was appointed as Assistant Advocate General by the State of Haryana and later in 2011, he became the Additional Advocate General. Siddharth is presently the legal advisor for Unitech Ltd. and Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. In recognition of his achievements, he was awarded the 2020 Business World Legal 40-under-40 award.

In this exclusive interview with Verdictum, he shares his opinion on the law of sedition, its scope, the current scenario and the need for reconsideration of the provisions in the light of the recent order of the Supreme Court.
