Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Transfer Of Seven High Court Judges To Various High Courts

In a move aimed at fostering greater inclusivity and diversity within the Indian judiciary, the Supreme Court Collegium, in its meetings held on April 15 and April 19, 2025, has resolved to recommend the transfer of several judges across various High Courts in the country.
- Justice Hemant Chandangoudar, currently serving in the Karnataka High Court, has been recommended for transfer to the Madras High Court.
- Justice Krishnan Natarajan, from the Karnataka High Court, is recommended to join the Kerala High Court.
- Justice Neranahalli Srinivasan Sanjay Gowda, presently with the Karnataka High Court, is set to move to the Gujarat High Court.
- Justice Ms. Perugu Sree Sudha, serving in the Telangana High Court, is recommended for transfer to the Karnataka High Court.
- Justice Kasoju Surendhar (also known as K. Surender), also from the Telangana High Court, has been proposed to join the Madras High Court.
- Justice Dr. Kumbhajadala Manmadha Rao, presently with the Andhra Pradesh High Court, is to be transferred to the Karnataka High Court.
- Justice Dixit Krishna Shripad, currently posted at the Karnataka High Court is recommended to be transferred to Orissa High Court.
