The Ministry of Law and Justice has notified the appointment of three judicial officers as additional judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

The three recommended judicial officers are:

1. Smt. Sunitha Gandham,

2. Shri Alapati Giridhar, and

3. Shri Purushottam Kumar Chintalapudi @ Ch. Purushottama Kumar.

The Supreme Court Collegium on May 04, 2026, had recommended these names.

The law minister, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal announced this development on X today.

The tweet read, "In exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of India, in consultation with Chief Justice of India, the President is pleased to appoint the following Judicial Officers as Additional Judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court: Smt. Sunitha Gandham, Shri Alapati Giridhar, and Shri Purushottam Kumar Chintalapudi @ Ch. Purushottama Kumar."
