The Punjab and Haryana High Court while dealing with a prayer seeking protection of the lives and liberty against the threats received from the private respondents directed the Police to ensure the safety of the 22-year-old man and 17-year-old girl who are in a live-in relationship.

A Single Bench of Justice Gurvinder Singh Gill held –

A copy of this order along with copy of the representation dated 05.10.2022 be sent to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur (respondent No.2), so as to enable him to do the needful expeditiously."

Advocate K.S. Brar appeared for the petitioners.
