The Ministry of Law and Justice has notified the appointment of Justice Biren Aniruddh Vaishnav as the Acting Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court from February 18, 2025 till March 2, 2025.

The Ministry has notified thus as the Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal is proceeding on leave for the aforesaid time period.

The notification dated February 17, 2025 read, “In exercise of the power conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Biren Aniruddh Vaishnav, Judge of the Gujarat High Court, to perform the duties of office of the Chief Justice of that High Court during the period of absence of Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court, who is proceeding on leave from 18.02.2025 up to 02.03.2025.”
