The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites applications for the recruitment of Assistant Legislative Counsel, Law Officer.

Location: Kanpur / New Delhi / Delhi

No. Of Posts:

Assistant Legislative Counsel- 08

Law Officer- 03

Remuneration:

Assistant Legislative Counsel- Pay Level-11 of 7th CPC (Group A Gazetted, permanent, 2 years probation).

Law Officer- Pay Level-07 of 7th CPC.

Educational Qualification: LLB

Experience:

Assistant Legislative Counsel-

Member of a State Judicial Service for not less than 7 years; OR
Held a superior post in the legal department of a State for not less than 7 years; OR
Central Government servant with experience in legal affairs for not less than 7 years; OR
Master’s Degree in Law with teaching or research experience in Law for not less than 5 years; OR
Qualified legal practitioner of not less than 30 years of age.

Law Officer- 2 years’ experience in legal work as a Legal Practitioner OR 2 years’ experience in legal work in a Government Office.

Age Limit:

Assistant Legislative Counsel- 40 years

Law Officer- 30 years
