
Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Appointment Of New Chief Justice For Bombay HC, Making Additional Judges As Permanent

The Supreme Court Collegium has resolved to recommend the appointment of Justice Shree Chandrashekhar as Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court.
Justice Chandrashekhar, who is presently serving as Judge in the Bombay High Court, has Jharkhand High Court as his parent Court.
Earlier, the Collegium recommended the elevation of Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court to the Supreme Court of India. He hails from the parent High Court of Madhya Pradesh.
The Collegium has further approved the proposal for appointment of the following Additional Judges as Permanent Judges in the Kerala High Court:
(i) Justice Johnson John
(ii) Justice Gopinathan Unnithan Girish
(iii) Justice Chellappan Nadar Pratheep Kumar
The Collegium has also approved the proposal for appointment of the following Additional Judges as Permanent Judges in the Bombay High Court:
(i) Justice Sanjay Anandrao Deshmukh
(ii) Justice Vrushali Vijay Joshi
(iii) Justice Abhay Jainarayanji Mantri
(iv) Justice Shyam Chhaganlal Chandak
(v) Justice Neeraj Pradeep Dhote
(vi) Justice Somasekhar Sundaresan
