
Centre Notifies Appointment Of Two High Court Chief Justices To Apex Court

The Ministry of Law and Justice has notified the appointment of two Chief Justices of High Courts to the Supreme Court of India. The Law Minister, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal notified this today through X (formerly known as Twitter).
As per the resolution dated August 25, 2025, the Collegium had proposed these names:
Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court. He hails from the parent High Court of Madhya Pradesh.
Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi, Chief Justice of the Patna High Court. His parent High Court is the Gujarat High Court.
The tweet read, “In exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint (i) Shri Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Justice, Bombay High Court and (ii) Shri Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi, Chief Justice, Patna High Court as Judges of the Supreme Court of India.”
