Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Judicial Officers, Advocates To Be Appointed As Judges Of Madras High Court
The Supreme Court collegium has resolved to recommend the names of nine judicial officers and ten advocates to be the judges of the Madras High Court.
The Collegium made the recommendations in a meeting held on May 18, 2026.
The judicial officers recommended to be judges are:
1. Dr. P. Murugan,
2. Mrs. M. D. Sumathi,
3. Mrs. S. Alli,
4. Mrs. C. Thirumagal Chandrasekar,
5. Shri Dharmalingam Lingeswaran,
6. Shri Karthikeyan Balathandayutham.
7. Shri Shanmugam Karthikeyan,
8. Shri Baluchamy Murugesan, and
9. Shri N. Gunasekaran.
The advocates recommended to be judges are:
1. Shri Natarajan Ramesh,
2. Shri G.K. Muthukumaar,
3. Shri Ramakrishnan Rajesh Vivekananthan,
4. Shri Sankaranarayanan Raveekumar,
5. Shri Nagarajan Dilip Kumar,
6. Shri Ellappan Manoharan,
7. Shri Krishnaswamy Govindarajan,
8. Shri Rajnish Pathiyil,
9. Shri K. Appadurai @ Kandavel Appadurai, and
10. Mrs. Ramasamy Anitha
