City Law College & Dream Law Are Organising Samar Kumar Basu National Moot Court Competition

The City Law College, Lucknow in collaboration with Dream Law is organising Samar Kumar Basu National Moot Court Competition to give exposure to students pursuing the law course to the environment of the court system in India and to hone their advocacy skills.

The first moot court competition was successfully organised, where 94 teams from across India participated and were judged by Retired Judges, Senior Advocates, Advocates and Professors. The main aim of the competition is to promote commitment towards experimental learning and to facilitate students in cumulating immense knowledge. The Moot Court Competition develops coherent legal insight among students and is essential to develop practical skills.

Platform: Gitsy Meet/Zoom

Eligibility:

Students duly enrolled and pursuing full time 5 years or 3 years undergraduate law courses may apply to participate in the given competition. Students enrolled in post graduation diploma or short term certification courses are not eligible to apply.

The team composition of the given competition shall comprise of the following:

1. 2 speakers OR

2. 2 speakers and 1 Researcher

The winners of the competition will be awarded a cash prize worth Rs. 50,000/-.

The Registration Fee is Rs. 1,500/- per team. The registration shall be done by filling up the registration form (Google Form).

Important Dates:

1. Last Date of Registration: 10th July, 2023

2. Last Date for Memorial Submission: 18th July, 2023

3. Clarification Session (Moot Problem and Rules): 15th To 16th July, 2023

4.Competition Dates: 28th to 30th July, 2023

Registration Details:

1) The last date of registration is 10th July, 2023 by 11:59:59 PM. The teams must register online by 10th July.2023.
