Legal Officer Vacancy In NCM
The District Legal Services Authority, Virudhunagar District @ Srivilliputtur (Unit of the Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority, Chennai). is inviting applications for the posts of Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel (LADC), Deputy Chief LADC, and Assistant LADC, on a temporary basis.
Location: Tamil Nadu
No. of Posts: Total 5 (Chief LADC- 01, Deputy Chief LADC- 2, and Assistant LADC- 2)
Remuneration:
• Chief LADC: Rs. 70,000/- per month
• Deputy Chief LADC: Rs. 40,000/- per month
• Assistant LADC: Rs. 25,000/- per month
Educational Qualification: LL.B.
Experience:
• Chief LADC: Practice in Criminal Law for at least 10 years.
• Deputy Chief LADC: Practice in Criminal Law for at least 7 years.
• Assistant LADC: Practice in Criminal Law from 1 to 3 years.
Eligibility: All India Bar council exam must be cleared.
Required Skills:
Chief LADC:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent understanding of Criminal Law.
• Thorough understanding of ethical duties of a Defense counsel.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others with capability to lead.
• Must have handled at least 30 Criminal trials in Sessions Court. Such condition of handling 30 criminal cases can be relaxed in appropriate circumstances.
• Knowledge of Computer System, preferable.
• Quality to lead the team with capacity to manage the office.
Deputy Chief LADC:
• Excellent understanding of Criminal Law.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Skill in legal research.
• Thorough understanding of ethical duties of Defense counsel.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others with others. Must have handled at least 20 Criminal trials in Sessions Court.
• IT Knowledge with proficiency in work.
Assistant LADC:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of ethical duties of Defense counsel.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others.
• Excellent writing and research skills.
• IT Knowledge with proficiency in work.
