National Seminar On The Darkest Days Of Indian Constitution - 50 Years Of Emergency
A National Seminar is being organised with the theme, 'The Darkest Days of Indian Constitution - 50 Years of Emergency' at Ernakulam in Kerala.
The Seminar is being organised by the Kerala High Court Unit of the Bharatheeya Abhibhashaka Parishad.
The Seminar will be held on August 3, 2025 (Sunday) at the Vaikom Gopakumar Nagar (Gangothri Kalyana Mandapam), Rajaji Road, Ernakulam, and the registration will start at 9 am.
The prominent speakers at the Seminar are Justice P. N. Ravindran, former Judge of the Kerala High Court, Senior Advocate Ashok Mehta, former Additional Solicitor General, K. Raman Pillai, Anti-Emergency activist & former State President, Bharaya Janata Party, M. Rajasekhara Panicker, former Editor of the Indian Express, R. Mohanan, the General Secretary of the Association of Emergency Victims Kerala, Social Activist Advocate A. Jayasankar, and Senior Advocate K. Sreenivas Moorthy, the National President of Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad.
The Seminar will be inaugurated by Advocate P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, the Honourable Governor of Goa.
Among others who will attend the event are Senior Advocates Nandakumara Menon, Seemandini V. P., S. Sanal Kumar, Sasthamangalam S. Ajith Kumar and Anil D. Nair.
An exhibition featuring significant newspaper cuttings, news reports and cartoons from the Emergency era will also be showcased at the venue, offering a poignant glimpse into the tumultuous period.
Entry to the Seminar is free for everyone, and food and refreshments will be served for attendees free of charge.
