SC Collegium Recommends Two Additional Judges Of Gauhati High Court To Be Made Permanent
The Supreme Court Collegium resolved to recommend the elevation of two additional judges of the Gauhati High Court to permanent judges.
The judges recommended for permanent appointments are:
- Justice Kardak Ete
- Justice Mridul Kumar Kalita
As of January 1, 2025, the Gauhati High Court has 24 judges, falling short of its sanctioned strength of 30, leaving a vacancy of 6 judges.
