Centre Notifies Appointment Of Seven Advocates To Be Judges Of Patna High Court
The Ministry of Law and Justice has notified the appointment of seven advocates as judges of the Patna High Court.
Among them, Advocates Ranjan Kumar Jha, Kumar Manish, and Raj Kumar have been appointed as permanent judges, while Advocates Rana Vikram Singh, Vikash Kumar, Girijish Kumar, and Alok Kumar have been appointed as additional judges.
The Supreme Court Collegium had, in February, recommended the names of nine advocates for elevation to the Patna High Court. However, the appointments of Advocates Md Nadim Seraj and Sanjeev Kumar are yet to receive clearance from the Central Government.
The notification was released on the Ministry’s website on June 10, 2026.
